What are some of the differences between adult learning styles and younger students?

I’ve heard that adults and younger learners benefit from different methods… what have you found successful?

Something to consider: attention spans are decreasing with both adult and young students.

We’ve seen that adapting our content length and format to our personas has mattered more than age too. For example, our doctor personas like more lengthy technical educational content because that is what they are used to. But patients learning about the same topic want to learn in layman’s terms in shorter snippets.

Follow up question: have you found that technology use/habits for younger vs older students plays a role in learning and retention?

I think that long-form curriculum-based content is harder for adults because younger folks have been conditioned to learn more recently and absorbed information that way.
